Here is something I quietly notice: most of the women who come to me are not tired from being alone. They are tired from holding themselves together all the time. Strong, dependable, always showing up. And they rarely get to feel what it is like to sit in a circle where they don’t have to prove anything. That is what the women’s circle I’m starting is about — a place where we slow down together.
Why a circle, and why together?
You can slow down alone too, but something different happens in a circle. When several women share one space and let themselves settle into the same calm, the weight of the silence changes. It stops being loneliness and becomes shared presence. I believe this is often the missing experience: that you are not alone with what you feel. Some things you can only release once you see someone else dare to.
Femininity, cyclicality, the inner child
A woman’s life is rhythmic by nature. There are times when we turn outward, and times when we should turn inward. Everyday life, though, expects a steady output, as if we were always in the same phase. In the circle we don’t suppress this cyclicality — we live it. I also make room for the part of you that was once hurt or silenced. We don’t fix anything. We simply allow it to be there.
What happens in a session?
Each session has a theme we feel into together. We work with angel and self-discovery cards, let the sound bowls sound, and breathe together — a few conscious breaths that bring you back into your body. In a non-judgemental space, we bring to the surface and share the belief systems living within us, and release them together. No expectations, no performance. Just presence.
This isn’t therapy — and that’s a good thing
Let me be clear: the circle is not a therapy group and not healthcare. It is a self-reflective, well-being and spiritual space where slowing down and self-acceptance are the point. I keep the group small on purpose, because that is where safety comes from — everyone gets attention, and trust can build. We meet monthly, in person, in Budapest, and the circle starts once at least five women sign up.
You don’t need to bring anything with you. You don’t need to know how to meditate, and you don’t need to know what you feel. It’s enough to have a quiet yes inside you that a space like this would be good.
If you feel you could use a circle where you don’t have to hold yourself together, you can reach out here. Tell me what draws you to it — and as soon as we have enough of us, we begin together.
